Revelation (undated): “A great division amongst this people”
Shared by Latterday Chad. Date not provided.
Behold, thus saith the Lord unto my servant William, these things I say, which are true and faithful.
For the time speedily cometh that I shall make a great division amongst this people, yea, even amongst the people of all nations. And thus shall be the beginning of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. For upon my house it shall begin. From my house it shall go forth, saith the Lord.
For behold, I have placed thee in mine hands, that I might use you as an instrument in this great and strange work. Therefore sanctify yourself, gird up your loins, and arise.
For behold, I have placed thee, that thou might be a sword of truth unto my Son, even Jesus Christ.
Behold, I say unto you, the field is white and ready to harvest. Therefore I place in your hands a sharp sickle and a command to thrust with all your might.
For behold, I have prepared thee, that thou might be a test unto my people, yea, and unto the people of the world who are not of my covenant. For behold, through you shall their nature and their true intents be revealed.
For righteousness is the girdle of his loins, but truth is the breath of his lips.
And behold, the words of my mouth shall cut through many things and pierce the hearts of many. And ye have already seen the effect on people, and it shall continue to expand.
For truth is sharper than any sword or any blade of this earth, and it pierces both the hearts of the righteous and of the wicked. And many will know not what I am doing. But my plans are my own, and all things are done in my order.
For there are those when faced with truth, even the hidden works of darkness and mysteries of the light as well. They will seethe and they will boil, and they will become like wild animals gnawing and clawing at anything and anyone, grasping onto the things which they once held close, yea, desperately trying to hold on to the beliefs they once held.
But behold, it is I, the Lord, even Jesus Christ, who has caused these things to be torn down. For the death of the things which were once upheld, even the structures of old, must happen before man can receive a fullness of truth. And the bittermost branches of my vineyard must be pruned first.
But behold, I say unto you, the bittermost branches is not simply those who have engaged in secret abominations and whoredoms, but behold, it is those who in their pride seek to hide their counsel from the Lord, yea, those who turn the other way as they did to the good Samaritan.
For behold, I am the good the man on the road found by the good Samaritan, and I remember who clothed me when I was naked, who visited me when I was in prison, and who has shown kindness unto me, even the most downtrodden. For the Son of Man hath descended below all things.
That mankind might be redeemed and ascend above them.
But behold, those who are self-righteous, who pollute my name and use it to persecute others, and when they are questioned, they grasp tightly, like a drowning animal, pulling others down with them in an attempt to cover their own lack of faith.
It is they in their pride and their refusal to stand, as Captain Moroni once stood. It is their cowardice and their allegiance to their traditions over what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil, that allows evil to flourish.
Behold, I will make an example of them, and they will be remembered. And by my making an example of them, those who have been downtrodden, those who have been persecuted, and those who I have loved, they shall be redeemed. Yea, they will be shown my mercy.
But behold, I say unto you today that those of my church who have received the Book of Mormon, who have known the Book of Mormon, who have read its words and read its warnings, yea, who have read what you have called the pride cycle of the Nephites, who have read the words of Laman and Lemuel proclaiming the Jews are a righteous people and they can do no wrong, they have been given more chances than anybody.
For behold, how long do you think they have strayed from the presence of the Father? How long have they been in this world, going in and out and in and out again?
Behold, they have received many chances, and even when I have given unto them the Book of Mormon, and even when I have commanded that they read the words of mine anointed Isaiah, they have ignored these things and said, Eat, drink, and be merry.
For behold, all is well in Zion. Yea, Zion is prospereth. Zion is great. Zion can do no wrong. For if you are against us, then you are against God.
But behold, I, the Lord, their God, shall camp against them, even as I did to Ariel, even the city of David of old.
For behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm shall cast them down to the earth. Yea.
For because of the hardness of their hearts, with stammering lips and another tongue shall I speak to this people. For with softness and kindness they will not listen.
But behold, not all are guilty. There are those who, even though they don’t want to awaken, still have kindness and goodness in their hearts, and I will show mercy unto them. Yea, and those who are persecuted for my name’s sake, for speaking things of truth, they shall be rewarded. And my servants whose images have been marred, they shall be healed in the sight of the people.
But behold, I say these things to you not to glorify you in pride, for you must repent too. Therefore sanctify yourself, have mercy in your heart, and deal prudently. Do these things for my name’s sake, and thy reward shall be in me.
For behold, the words of all these things have come unto thee into a sealed book. But those who think that they are learned cannot read this book.
But behold, those of you who have humbled yourselves as little children, the words are plain, for I, the Lord, speak in words of plainness.
And this I say unto you, my son: Go forth, stretch out your hand, raise up your voice, and cry with a mighty cry, Awake, Zion, awake! The time hath come that the captives are set free. The day of our Lord’s favor is here, and your debts are paid, yea, both spiritual and physical bondage are paid.
And in this day, all that mourn shall be comforted, and the outcasts of Zion shall be redeemed.
For thus I shall commence in my strange work, yea, even my strange act, and the learning of the wise men shall be confounded, and those who think that they are esteemed shall be shocked. Yea, kings shall shut their mouths at that which they had not been considered.
For behold, this is the only way. Behold, this has been my plan since the beginning.
Now, I say unto you: Go forth, be of good cheer, and do not be discouraged. For all things are made right in me and through me.
For I, the Lord, am your Savior, and before me there is no God. Amen.
